Gear Washer

This application required parts to be loaded into a fixture and indexed through the washer. Each time the conveyor stops in the wash and rinse zones, probes rise from below and spray inside the center bore a programmable number of times and then fully retract. At the same time, side nozzles rotate around the part 360 degrees to fully clean each face. In the dry zone, air knives rotate around the outside of the part 360 degrees while a probe rises through the bore to dry the inside. Two sets of light curtains guard the exit conveyor – the outer set prevent the conveyor from moving while the operator unloads, while the inner set protects the operator from the motion inside the washer.
